The Cobo Bay Hotel Events.
|
Keep up to date with latest news and special offers join us on Facebook.
Cobo Bay Hotel has been providing great entertainment to locals & visitors alike for over 20 years
with top local & UK bands, including some of the best tribute acts in the world, playing to over
2000 people from our first floor balcony.

Our ‘Cobo Balcony Gigs’ have become a majorpart of Guernsey summers, and can bring a real
carnival atmosphere to the Cobo seafront whilst raising much needed funds for local charities
such as the Guernsey Cheshire Home and the Anthony Nolan Trust.
Due to the popularity of these events, a section of the Cobo coast road at the front of the hotel is
closed off; meaning access to and from the hotel & neighbouring Rockmount is gained only from
the rear car park entrance.
The music usually starts from around 3pm and finishes no later than 7pm. Why not book a table
from The Beach Terrace for lunch and make a day of it? Alternatively, if you are a resident and
would prefer a more peaceful afternoon then please contact us with any queries you may have
and we will be more than happy to arrange any trips or excursions you may wish to partake in.
Please see below details of acts appearing on our balcony in 2012, kindly sponsored by Wave

PETE FRAMPTON
Originally from Guernsey Pete carved out a career abroad and returns each year by request, surrounding himself with local veteran musicians to jam on concert favourites such as songs from David Crosby, Steve Winwod and blues artistes such as BB King, Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy. Pete still likes to party on stage tho' and there will be ample up-tepo material for all diner-dancers. A Doghouse regular for 10 years Pete will have your Bank Holiday weekend Rockin an Rollin.

GLAMOROUS INDIE ROCK & ROLL - The Fillers (Tribute to The Killers) supported by City Limits
THE FILLERS are the world’s premier tribute to The Killers, formed in late 2006 in the era of Sam's Town. Based in the country where The Killers came to fruition, they capture the sound look and feel of the Vegas quartet performing tracks from Hot Fuss, Sam's Town, Sawdust and Day & Age.
The band has received the ultimate recognition when they were given a glowing review by Ronnie Vannucci Jr of The Killers who also joined The Fillers on drums for a guest spot.
As The Killers’ sound has progressed and expanded, so in turn have The Fillers who now have 6 touring musicians, playing to audiences of up to 30,000 as far afield as the Dominican Republic and recently Mexico filling in for The Killers. www.youtube.com/thefillersofficial
“You should check them out” Brandon Flowers on The Fillers, April 18th 2009.
CITY LIMITS celebrated their 1000th gig in 2004 and after 23 years in the business, they can justly be described as an experienced live band!
