Tony Nussbaumer moved from his native Austria as a young waiter in 1956.

Although kept busy establishing an enviable reputation in Guernsey tourism, Tony found just a little time to meet and marry local girl Margaret and in 1958 wee David appeared.

After years of hard work and dedication Tony and Margaret developed two of the islands finest hotels, The Cobo Bay and La Hougue Fouque Hotel now The Farmhouse Country Hotel.

David and his wife Julie continue to personally oversee the family business with the same ideals of fine food, friendly service and great value as laid down by Tony some 45 years ago.

Cobo Bay Hotel is one of only three hotels in the world to be awarded a Three Rosettes Good Food Award from Saga Holidays.
